Sky dish installation

When you book your installation with Sky, they will most likely not provide a discreet installation service. This means that your satellite dish will be visible from the front of your home. We understand that this can be an eye sore to some people, so we try and work to put it somewhere less visible. This could be the back of your home or around the side where it’s not easy to see from the front. 

Sky engineers are restricted on the height and position on where they can put the satellite dish. This means that you have no say on where you’d like it to go. With us, we have no restrictions on how high or where we can put it. We work closely with our customers and communicate with them to find out what they expect from our services.

As we mentioned earlier, Sky have a huge customer base, and this means they also have longer waiting times. In some cases, you may have to wait 2-3 weeks to have your satellite installed and aligned. With our team, we get out to you as soon as we possibly can. This can sometimes be on the day you call!

We will complete the installation quickly and efficiently to make sure your Sky satellite works correctly. We will also carry out checks after the work is complete to make sure you’re happy with the TV quality and signal. 

Sky dish alignment

As well as the installation of your Sky satellite, we also provide an alignment service. When we leave your home after the installation, the TV display will look great with no imperfections. However, your Sky satellite comes up against a lot. Everything from the weather to footballs can cause your Sky satellite to come out of alignment. When this happens, you can experience a pixelated display or a message that your TV has no signal. 

High winds are one of the biggest causes for this happening. We normally find ourselves very busy after a storm as it can lead many satellites pointing the wrong way. Aligning the satellite is pretty easy and can be done very quickly. Like our installation service, we will not leave without checking that everything looks perfect and meets our standards. 

When we first get to your property, we will do some other checks to make sure the issue is related to the alignment of your Sky dish. If we find any other problem along the way, we will fix this to see if that resolves the issue. If not, we will continue to do our checks and go ahead with re-aligning the satellite.

It’s not only the weather that can cause signal issues to your Sky dish. If you live in an area where there are trees growing around your house, they can begin to cause interference with your satellite. The bigger the trees get, the less signal your dish is able to receive. This can lead to a fuzzy screen or pixilation. 

To resolve this, the trees must be cut back to give your satellite the room to receive a good signal. If this is not possible to do, it will involve moving your Sky dish to another location on your property where the signal is better received.
